Trip Details

Imagine yourself in a calm, clear ocean, drifting calmly. Suddenly, loud clicking, strong enough to vibrate your body enter your awareness. You look around and here they are – a pod of Sperm whales – slowly swimming towards you, scanning you using their sonar.

Dominica is home to one of the world’s only resident pods of Sperm whales and is possibly the best place to swim with them and witness the famous “sleeping Giants”.

We have created an activity rich program which includes daily swims, afternoon workshops, land exploration and great food.

Groups are small – only 6 guests on each trip to keep it very personal and to provide the best opportunity to maximise the time in the water..

This trip will be hosted in an incredible resort on the south side of the Island of Dominica. Luxurious rooms, fantastic food, in the jungle and close to some of the nicest nature of Dominica

Swimming with Sperm whales in Dominica requires a special government t permit which we have acquired for you. Each of the guests will be granted a permit which will enable you to swim and post photos and videos you take on the trip.

Just brilliant 🙂
I’ve done three Whale swim type trips before with other companies (Timor Leste/Tonga/SA Sardine run) and whilst it’s always wonderful to see the whales, what was different on this trip was the fact that you felt you were joining a group of friends as opposed to being on a school trip(!)-you were all in it together/as equally as excited to be in the water with the beautiful creatures. Erez was a fabulous group leader, super chilled/flexible and extremely knowledgeable and passionate as well as immensely considerate/respectful towards the whales. He’s also a phenomenal photographer and he kindly shares the national geographic quality pictures after. Sometimes you can feel obliged to join stuff outside of the time on the water, this really wasn’t the case on this trip asides from the fact you really did want to join just because was a really fun group to be with. I learnt lots about the whales as Erez is so keen to share his love/knowledge of the whales. Loved the trip and will be joining again in the future, thanks loads for a wonderful week 🙂

I am a world wanderer for 60 plus years. This trip is the best I have ever taken. I typically avoid group travel and prefer to create my own itinerary. However this trip focused on swimming with whales, so we decided to join. It did not disappoint. Erez is knowledgeable and kind, gentle with the whales and deeply respectful of their space and needs. Swimming so close to them was both thrilling and transformative. Every time we encountered them I felt my nervous system resonate with their majestic presence. It was deeply restorative and expansive, unlike any experience I have ever had. If you want adventure and the opportunity for profound relaxation look no further!
